It was a long time coming and a lot of work but we finally finished our
rearing area for the babies. We can now house well over a thousand
babies at one time. Check out the pics!
Alot of babies require alot of crickets. We house our crickets in
the rubbermaid bins in the pic below. In our busiest time of the season
we will go through 30 thousand crickets a week!

Close up of the bins. As you can see the setup is kept very simple. A river
rock and a lid used as a bowl for greens is all that is in the bins. The
substrate is sifted childrens playsand.

We like to keep about 10 hatchlings per bin.
